A Nottingham restaurant has today been named one of the favourites in the UK according to the 2019 Travellers’ Choice Awards for Restaurants, announced by the world’s largest travel platform, TripAdvisor.
The honour goes to two Michelin-starred Restaurant Sat Bains, in Lenton Lane, ranked tenth in the fine dining category.
“These awards are determined by the millions of reviews posted over twelve months from diners who have visited the restaurants. For Restaurant Sat Bains to be named among the UK’s best-rated is a fantastic achievement,” said TripAdvisor spokesperson, Hayley Coleman.
Reviews in the last few days describe the restaurant as outstanding, excellent and living up to its reputation. The gastronomic destination has attracted travellers from London, Poole, Doncaster and Norwich as well as locals.
One of the latest to give the restaurant five stars was a reviewer from Shropshire, who said: "One of the finest restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of dining in. Staff absolutely fantastic, food to die for and great value for money.
"We shall certainly be revisiting Sat Bains again soon. Nothing was too much trouble, even to the extent the wife had her photo with Sat in the kitchen."
Taking the UK’s top spot this year is Adam's in Birmingham, which is also named sixth best-rated in Europe and tenth in the world.
