Nottingham pub undergoes improvements as new management takes over

A traditional family orientated pub and hotel is undergoing changes as new management takes over. The new team at the Vale in Mansfield Road, Woodthorpe, say they are looking forward to making improvements to the business.

The new team has already begun work on the pub by making small cosmetic improvements inside, such as exposing the 1930s listed wood panelling in some of the rooms that were covered by chalk boards. They have also improved the toilet facilities with new seats and carpet, and improved the level of customer service on the shop floor.

A Facebook post by the pub stated: "We aim to continue to provide the same excellent beer and food product that you have always received and will continue to improve the vale as much as we can over the coming weeks and as always appreciate all your continued support! So thankyou once again to all of you that have been down this week and we look forward to seeing you all again!"

The team has also been tidying the garden area outside of the pub, and preparing tables and chalk boards for painting. They have also removed the old awning at the front to expose the front of the listed building and added hanging baskets.
