Customers won't have to wait until Sundays to tuck into a roast dinner at a Nottingham pub which has decided to launch it during the week.
The Sunday carvery is so popular at the Elwes Arms that landlady Beccy Webster has decided to run it Wednesday to Saturday, starting on January 30.
The pub in Oakdale Road, Carlton, has a massive choice, with beef, pork, lamb and chicken from a local butcher, two fish options, three vegan dishes and four vegetarian mains.
Diners can load up their plates with Yorkshire roast potatoes, mash, seasonal vegetables, and home-made gravy.
Visitors pay £9.95 on Sundays, but Wednesday to Friday the price will be a bargain £4.95 - and that includes a soft drink.
Saturdays will cost £6.95.
Beccy said: "Sunday is really, really popular and it has a really good reputation. It's all home-made and we can cater for everybody.
"We're normally booked up a week in advance. As it's so popular on Sundays we decided to do it in the week.
"Obviously there is Toby Carvery but there is no other main carvery in the area.
“The great thing about being independent is we can focus on a quality British homemade carvery using local produce and supporting other small businesses for our meat and vegetables. When we asked our Sunday regulars they were over the moon!"
