Nottingham October weather forecast as temperatures expected to drop dramatically

After a week in which we have seen days of wonderful sunshine and heavy rain, a dramatic temperature drop looks to be on its way.

Temperatures are set to hit 19C today (October 7) and 20C tomorrow but on Monday, October 11, a week begins in which temperatures drop to as low as 12C and are not expected to rise above 14C.

One positive for some may be that, while the outlook is thought to be mainly cloudy with little sunshine, there are no forecasts of any rain as of yet.

Today:

Rather cloudy to start, especially across the Derbyshire Hills with some light rain and drizzle at times. Largely dry elsewhere, with increasingly bright and warm spells of sunshine developing. Occasionally breezy over higher ground. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Tonight:

A mostly cloudy and mild night to come with winds becoming light. Many places remaining dry, though some light rain or drizzle likely, mainly over western hills. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Friday:

Some areas of low cloud or fog initially, but brightening up through the day leading to warm spells of sunshine for many by the afternoon. Dry with light winds throughout. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Overnight low cloud, patchy fog clearing Saturday to a dry day with bright spells. Fresher Sunday with a little rain. Brighter later. Breezier Monday with rain arriving from the northwest.
