Nottingham NCT bus services diverted as snow continues to fall

Some bus services in Nottingham are being forced to divert as a result of adverse weather conditions.

Snow began to fall across some parts of the city and wider Nottinghamshire from around 3pm on January 2, and this is leading to issues on the roads as the snow settles.

Nottingham City Transport (NCT) had issued travel advice for those who may be using bus services this evening.

As of 6pm, NCT says Lime 56, Sky Blue 45, Blue 40 and Lilac 25 are being forced to divert.

The diversions are as follows:

  • Due to weather conditions Sky Blue 45 are terminating at Holyoake Road.
  • Due to worsening weather conditions, Blue 40 are terminating at Kildare Road

  • Lilac 25 are diverting via Woodthorpe Drive and Mansfield Road in both directions.

  • Lime 56 are unable to serve Whitby Crescent or Somersby Rd.
