Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man from Nottingham was struck by a car which allegedly failed to stop.

The 41-year-old man was struck by a white car in Ebenezer Street, Langley Mill, just before 3pm on Friday, March 19.

Both of his ankles were broken, police say.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary said: "Officers investigating a hit and run in which a man suffered serious injuries are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

"The car did not stop at the scene and officers are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

"Of particular interest are any drivers with dashcam footage and homeowners with CCTV that may have captured the incident."

The force says anyone with information is asked to contact them quoting reference number 21*155492.
