Nottingham Justice Museum and City of Caves' closure after staff test positive for Covid

A city museum and cave experience have chosen to temporarily close after staff tested positive for Covid-19.

There have been two positive Covid-19 results among the staff at the National Justice Museum, leading to other members of the team having to self-isolate.

Refunds are being arranged for visitors of the Lace Market historical attraction for anyone with pre-booked tickets before July 2.

The museum also operates the City of Caves experience located below the former Broadmarsh Centre, which has also been temporarily closed.

A post published on Monday, June 28 on the museum's website read: "Important message for visitors.

"We are very sorry, but we have closed temporarily as a precautionary measure following two positive tests for Covid among our staff. As a consequence, other members of staff are now self-isolating in line with NHS advice.

"Public Health England and NHS Test and Trace have been informed.

"If you have a pre-booked ticket before 2 July, please contact us at info@nationaljusticemuseum.org.uk and we will arrange a full refund.

"Please follow us on social media for reopening updates."
