Nottingham gym releases statement confirming it has temporarily closed

A gym in Nottingham city centre has issued a statement confirming why it has been forced to temporarily close. Staff at Fit Pod 25, in Upper Parliament Street, have left a notice sign on the front of the gym notifying customers of the situation.

The statement says: "We are temporarily closed due to COVID cases within the gym." The gym, which opened at the start of May last year, offers customers a workout in individual pods for 25-minute exercise sessions.

Fit Pod 25 is a concept that was launched by Nathan Newton-Willington, after hearing from customers at his former gym about how monotonous exercising could be. Fit Pod 25 holds seven to nine classes a day from 6am to 8pm.

Customers can purchase a membership, class packs or drop in for a workout. It is unclear when the gym will reopen.
