Nottingham Forest youngster sends timely reminder to Sabri Lamouchi

Brennan Johnson scored twice as Nottingham Forest Under-23s moved six points clear at the top of the Professional Development League.

The young Reds came out on top 5-0 at Bolton Wanderers on Monday afternoon to maintain their impressive season under Chris Cohen.

Johnson has made six appearances this season, but has not featured since the FA Cup defeat to Chelsea in early January.

Another highly rated young player, winger Alex Mighten opened the scoring at the Eddie Davies Academy after 28 minutes with Johnson doubling the lead six minutes later.

Striker Virgil Gomis effectively secured the points four minutes before the break as he made it 3-0.

There was a late flourish from Forest with fellow striker Will Swan getting the fourth after 86 minutes.

Attacking midfielder Johnson got the fifth in stoppage time.

Forest have nine league games still to play and the top two in the table will qualify for the end of season play-offs.
