Nottingham Forest youngster receives international call-up ahead of Euro qualifiers

Nottingham Forest youngster Dale Taylor has received a call-up for the Northern Ireland Under-19s team ahead of Euro qualifiers in Czech Republic next month.

The boys in green and white are set to feature in a four-team mini tournament against the Czechs, Denmark and Kazakhstan.

It counts as part of the qualification campaign for the young national side ahead of the U19 Euros.

Forward Taylor returns to the U19s after impressing with the U21s earlier this summer. Fellow Reds youngster Jamie McDonnell, however, does not make the cut and will miss out on the fixtures.

Northern Ireland will take on the Danes at the Stovky stadium in Frydek-Mistek on Wednesday, 6 October in a 2pm start, UK time.

After that Gerard Lyttle's side will take on mini tournament hosts Czech Republic at the same venue on Saturday 9 October with a 2pm start, UK time.

Their final game, against Kazakhstan, is being staged at the Bazaly stadium in Ostrava with a 2pm kick-off, UK time, on Tuesday 12 October.

Taylor has flourished under Under-23s coach Andy Reid but has found opportunities in the youth team hard to come by this season due to injuries.
