Nottingham Forest 'want' Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder as fresh transfer link emerges

Nottingham Forest reportedly want to sign Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djibril Sow.

The Reds have been hyperactive in this summer transfer window after signing 14 players so far, the latest additions being Emmanuel Dennis and Cheikhou Kouyate from Watford and Crystal Palace respectively.

But now their interest has turned to the 25-year-old Sow, who journalist Ronan Murphy says "they want" and is reportedly set to cost €19m to €20m (£16m to £17m). The midfielder has been with the Bundesliga club since 2019, making 116 appearances and scoring four times.

Sow has gone on to become a mainstay in midfield, helping Frankfurt to a fifth place finish in the 2020/21 season. He has also earned 30 caps for Switzerland since being promoted to the senior team from the under-21s.

He is under contract at the Deutsche Bank Park until 2024.
