Nottingham Forest vs Swansea City predicted line-up: Pressure on Tobias Figueiredo, duo set to be recalled

Nottingham Forest are in real need of a win against they host highly rated Swansea City on Sunday (12.00pm).

The Reds will be looking to recover from last Saturday's defeat to Barnsley, and a second 2-0 loss, this time at Bournemouth on Tuesday.

It gets no easier for Forest after that with fixtures against Watford, Reading, Norwich and Brentford in the four subsequent games. All four are currently in the top nine.

Here, we take a look at how Forest could line up against Swansea.

What formation will they play?

Chris Hughton has almost exclusively used a 4-2-3-1 formation in his nine games since coming to the club.

That was the case against Bournemouth, although Harry Arter did not play as a traditional number 10, often dropping deeper to try and help Jack Colback and Ryan Yates.

Against Swansea at home he might be temped to be more positive and play a more regular attacking midfielder.

Starting XI

Forest have injury worries over Gaetan Bong (groin), Samba Sow (hamstring) and Luke Freeman (groin).

Hughton is unlikely to shake-up his back four too much, although there have been calls fans for Loic Mbe Soh to come in for Tobias Figueiredo.

Hughton has previously said he has been impressed with Figueiredo and Scott McKenna, but he also added that Mbe Soh has been unfortunate to miss out.

Nicholas Ioannou will hope to stake his claim at left-back with Yuri Ribeiro perhaps in need of a rest after playing the last two games.

Winger Anthony Knockaert is likely to be recalled with Miguel Guerrero or Freeman, if fit, hoping to come in as the number 10.

Predicted team: Samba; Christie, Figueiredo, McKenna, Ioannou; Arter, Colback; Knockaert, Guerrero, Ameobi; Taylor
