Nottingham Forest v Hull City set to attract bumper Boxing Day crowd

Nottingham Forest's Boxing Day trip to Hull City is set to rival the Tigers' highest crowd of the Championship season so far.

Sabri Lamouchi 's side will arrive on Humberside desperate to turn the tide in the Championship .

The Reds are without a win since November and have fallen to consecutive defeats at the hands of Huddersfield Town and Sheffield Wednesday.

Meanwhile Hull, managed by Grant McCann, are on an impressive charge following their 3-0 win over Birmingham City last time out and are keen to break into the division's top six.

And they Tigers have already sold over 13,000 tickets on the countdown to Christmas, with 1,800 travelling Trenstside fans among that figure.

The numbers are expected to rise in the next 72 hours, say HullLive , with tickets available online or from the ticket office up to 1pm on Christmas Eve. City will also open the ticket office for further sale from 10am on Boxing Day up until the 3pm kick-off.

The total looks set to fall short of the 16,326 crowd that was lured back for the 2-0 win over Forest's East Midlands rivals Derby County in October but will expect to go above the next best figure of 13,866 attracted to the 1-0 defeat to West Brom.

Forest's trip to Yorkshire will be followed by back-to-back City Ground games against Wigan Athletic and Blackburn Rovers before their FA Cup clash with Chelsea.
