Nottingham Forest transfers: Major Rhian Brewster update, loan reminder

A NottinghamshireLive morning round-up brings you all of the latest transfer news on Monday 22 November, just over a month before the January transfer window opens in the New Year.

'Target' learns transfer fate

Nottingham Forest have again been linked with interest in former Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster.

The 21-year-old has slipped down the pecking order at Championship rivals Sheffield United after the Blades paid a club-record transfer fee of £23.5m for the highly-rated player in 2020 when former Bramall Lane boss Chris Wilder hailed him as one of the country’s “hottest properties.”

Brewster, who was an unused sub in the goalless draw with Coventry City on Saturday, has managed just eight league appearances this season under Slavisa Jokanovic.

The Serbian boss insisted in October, though, that Brewster would not be leaving in January.

When Philip Zinckernagel had slalomed his way through the Royals defence and thumped in a fantastic shot, it had looked as though another win was on the cards for the Reds. That was the perfect start, four minutes in at the Madejski Stadium.
