Nottingham Forest transfers: Big Brewster boost as Premier League loan link emerges

A NottinghamshireLive morning round-up brings you all of the latest transfer news on Friday 26 November, just over a month before the January transfer window opens in the New Year.

Transfer prediction made

Sheffield United have installed Paul Heckingbottom as the club's manager - and are gearing up for a January transfer window of outgoings.

It could be good news for Nottingham Forest as they continue to be linked with a move for Rhian Brewster.

Brewster has been tipped to reunite with Forest boss Steve Cooper, who has managed the former Liverpool striker for England's youth teams and with Swansea City.

He has only scored one league goal in red and white but he bagged 11 in 22 appearances for Swansea under Cooper last year, form that prompted United to make a £20 million move for the former Chelsea youngster.

Brewster boost

Rhian Brewster's future at Sheffield United has taken another interesting turn.

The Blades have parted ways with Slavisa Jokanovic after a poor start to the season for the Serbian.

Jokanovic was hired in the summer with the remit of achieving promotion back to the Premier League and Brewster was front and centre of his plans to get back into the top flight.

As far as Brewster is concerned, he needs to get his career back on track after a £20million move from Liverpool last year.

Forest - now under the management of Steve Cooper - could be just the place.

Reds 'monitoring' loan move

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a January move for Brighton and Hove Albion defender Haydon Roberts.

The versatile 19-year-old is a centre-back by trade, but is also capable of playing at left-back and in central midfield - which could provide a solution to a problem position for the Reds.

News that Sheffield United loanee Max Lowe faces two months out of action with a groin strain has left Forest very short of cover on the left side of defence.

'Buy option?'

Forest fans have had their say on the links to Roberts, with Cooper already juggling four loans in his squad.

The Reds also had four loans in last season and some supporters have suggested any loans need to be with the potential to purchase the player.
