Club block Leeds United move for Nottingham Forest transfer target - reports

Southampton are not willing to loan out reported Nottingham Forest transfer target Che Adams to Leeds United.

Adams has been linked with a move to Forest as Sabri Lamouchi's side continue to look for strikers to bolster their ranks this month.

Eddie Nketiah, Dwight Gayle and Glenn Murray have also been touted as possible options for the Reds as Lamouchi seeks to ease the burden on star striker Lewis Grabban.

Journalist Alex Crook claims the Whites have set deadlines for Adams to be loaned out to Elland Road as Marcelo Bielsa's side, eight points and three places better off of Forest in fifth, try to get a striker in themselves.

Adams' preference was Leeds, according to reports , but Southampton don't want to do a deal and the player is said to be keen on staying at St Mary's Stadium - but that stance could all change.

The former Ilkeston man, who moved to the Premier League in a £15 million deal from Birmingham City in the summer, is yet to score for his new side this season in 16 appearances.
