Reported Nottingham Forest transfer target Christian Atsu has decided to remain at Newcastle United, it is being claimed.
Sky Sports say the winger wants to stay at St James' Park and fight for his place at the club.
Atsu was linked with a move to the Reds earlier today, with Championship rivals Fulham and Blackburn Rovers also interested.
Celtic joined the race later on this afternoon but now none of the quartet look set to be getting their hands on the Ghanaian international.
The former Chelsea man has made 22 appearances in the Premier League this season, starting just six times.
He has also failed to register a goal in any competition this season and appeared to be on the fringes of Newcastle's squad.
But he will stay at the club and fight for his place.
