Nottingham Forest transfer news: Sabri Lamouchi reveals how many signings he wants in January

Sabri Lamouchi expects Nottingham Forest to be busy in the January transfer window, both with incomings and outgoings.

The Forest boss, who watched his side make it three straight wins over the festive period by seeing off Blackburn Rovers 3-2 on New Year’s Day, has revealed how many signings he thinks his side needs.

It’s commonly known that Forest are desperate to bolster their attacking ranks, with Rafa Mir likely to return to Wolves after struggling to make an impact during his loan move.

Strikers Dwight Gayle, Che Adams, Glenn Murray and Lukas Jutkiewicz have all be linked with moves to the City Ground, and Lamouchi is clear on what he wants this month.

“We just want quality players to help this team, I cannot be more clear than that,” he told The Athletic.

Aside of Lewis Grabban, who continued his fine form with a brace against Blackburn taking his tally to 14 for the season, only Joe Lolley has found the net on a semi-regular basis, scoring five times.

“I have known for a long time where we need to strengthen,” said Lamouchi.

“I do not think we need (many) more players.

“If we can find two or possibly three, as a maximum, then fantastic.

“Two or three players can make the difference and help the team to perform much better; to achieve our goals.”
