What Birmingham City boss Pep Clotet said about Lukas Jutkiewicz to Nottingham Forest reports

Birmingham City head coach Pep Clotet says that he's not aware of an approach from Nottingham Forest for experienced striker Lukas Jutkiewicz.

Sabri Lamouchi’s Reds were, on Wednesday evening, linked with a move for the 30-year-old frontman, with Forest keen to add firepower in their quest to end a 20-year wait for Premier League football.

Forest are sending back Rafa Mir to Wolves early after his season-long loan spell failed to yield a single goal, and with Lewis Grabban the club’s only recognised striker, Lamouchi is desperate to bolster his attacking options this month as a matter of urgency.

Clotet, however, says he’s not been made aware of any interest from the Blues’ Championship rivals in the eight-goal striker, or any of the club’s other players including Jude Bellingham.

"I am not that technically involved in the ins and outs [during a transfer window]," he said.

"My position is head coach, so my main responsibility is getting the very best that is possible out of the players that the club make available for me.

"But I have not been informed on that particular matter."
