Nottingham Forest transfer deal 'a breath away' - report

Nottingham Forest will land Olympiacos midfielder Cafu in a swap deal for Tiago Silva, according to reports in Greece.

SDNA report the Greek giants are "a breath away" from acquiring Silva in a deal which will see Portuguese defensive midfielder Cafu arrive at the City Ground.

Silva has not played for Forest so far this season and has been linked with a move to Olympiacos, who are also owned by Evangelos Marinakis, for most of the summer, following a good season for Sabri Lamouchi's side.

Silva played in 44 league games for Forest as they just missed out on the Championship play-offs, scoring three league goals.

Cafu, 27, only joined Olympiacos in February from Legia Warsaw and has made nine appearances for the club, in the Greek top flight and Europa League.
