Nottingham Forest transfer boost as two players identified as £18m replacements

Brazilian outfit Palmeiras have reportedly identified two potential replacements for Nottingham Forest-linked Danilo.

Danilo is being linked with a move away from Verdao and Forest are keen to get a deal done this month. However, the Reds are not alone in their pursuit with Monaco also said to be interested.

As previously reported, 'negotiations will continue', after Forest have apparently tabled an offer of close to €20million (£18m) for the 21-year-old. Though Monaco also 'remain in the race' and are 'pushing again' for the player.

Palmeiras have acknowledged that it will be difficult to keep hold of the talented star and have identified two replacements, according to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte. Jean Lucas from Monaco and Matheus Henrique from Sassuolo have been identified as potential options.

The report also highlights that Danilo could be involved in a player swap, with Lucas coming the other way but talks are yet to take place between the clubs. Palmeiras said to want to receive between €20m-€25m (£17m-£22m) for Danilo.
