Nottingham Forest are said to have been eyeing up promising Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour.
The 18-year-old midfielder came up through the academy at Scottish giants Rangers before making the move to Stamford Bridge two years ago.
According to London Football News, the Reds and Championship rivals Leeds United “have been tracking the best players in Chelsea’s development side, for which Gilmour has caught the eye since being signed from Glasgow Rangers”.
The Scotland Under-21 international has featured for the top-flight side in the Football League Trophy and made his first-team debut earlier this season.
He came off the bench as the Blues drew 2-2 at home to Sheffield United in the Premier League, back in August, and was handed his first start for the club the following month in the 7-1 demolition of Grimsby Town in the League Cup.

But with a number of players ahead of him in the pecking order, it is suggested Gilmour could leave on loan to secure more game time.
The player told BBC Scotland this week: “I need to play more first-team games, at Chelsea or maybe out on loan. I need to get more experience.”
London Football News adds: “That will potentially pave the way for Leeds or Forest, who have been aware of the youngster’s talent for some time.”
