Nottingham Forest 'tracking' OGC Nice midfielder

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for former OGC Nice midfielder Remi Walter.

According to France Football, Sabri Lamouchi's side are 'tracking' the 24-year-old.

Walter, a France Under-21 international, is also said to be of interested to fellow Evangelos Marinakis-side Olympiakos.

The former Nancy man primarily operates in central midfield, but can play further forward or drop back to shield the defence.

Walter made 22 appearances in all competitions last season, netting four goals.

He is currently out of contract, his deal at Nice expiring this summer.

Walter has 163 career appearances under his belt, with eight goals to boot.

Lamouchi has moved to strengthen Forest since he replaced Martin O'Neill last month.

He has already brought in two midfielders, Tiago Silva and Alfa Semedo, with third signing Sammy Ameobi signed by O'Neill before his departure last month.
