Nottingham Forest told they 'will regret' transfer decision

Nottingham Forest "will regret" selling Tyler Walker.

That's the view of former Reds goalkeeper Dimitar Evtimov.

Striker Walker left the City Ground on Friday to join newly-promoted Championship side Coventry City on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Walker, who had one year left on his deal with the club, leaves Forest after coming through the ranks, finishing with 45 appearances and seven goals.

And Evtimov believes the Reds have made the wrong decision.

"Forest will regret this one day," he wrote on Twitter.

Walker wrote a heartfelt message on social media.

“As a kid I always dreamed of playing in Forest’s first team and I’m proud to say that I achieved that," he said.

“I owe a massive thank you to everyone who has helped me over the past 15 years, the players I’ve played with, the staff who’ve coached me, and to all the fans who’ve supported along the way.

“Nottingham Forest has been a huge part of my life, I’ve met people and made friends there that will last a lifetime.

“The club will always hold a special place in my heart, helping me become the person and footballer I am today."
