Nottingham Forest to seal winger deal tomorrow - report

Nottingham Forest look set for attacking reinforcements, with an arrival reportedly imminent.

According to reports from French outlet L’Équipe, Forest are set to seal a deal for Huddersfield Town winger Adama Diakhaby, with a medical expected to take place tomorrow.

It is said the transfer will initially be a loan deal until the end of the season, but with an option for Forest to buy the player at the end of his spell, should they wish.

The report states that Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi convinced his fellow Frenchman to join Forest's quest for promotion, rather than move to Ligue 1.

Lamouchi has been hoping to secure more attacking options during the transfer window.

Aston Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia was linked with a move, but the Ivorian forward opted for a transfer to Qatar's Al Gharafa SC.

A new striker would ease the pressure on front man Lewis Grabban, who is enjoying a fine season.

Grabban converted a penalty earlier today to give Forest a 3-1 win over Luton Town.

Diakhaby can play up front and on the wing, in a number of positions, but is yet to score for Huddersfield in the league. He has been left out of the Terriers matchday squads of late by boss Danny Cowley, but was involved earlier in the season.
