Reported Nottingham Forest transfer target Nahki Wells appears to be close to signing for a new club.
The Reds have been credited with an interest in the Burnley striker, who spent the first half of the season on loan with Queens Park Rangers.
Now back at Turf Moor, it is being claimed by The Telegraph that Bristol City will be his next club, after they look to have won the battle for his signature.
The report adds that the Robins are edging closer to signing the 29-year-old on a permanent deal from the Clarets.
QPR were also keen to bring the striker back to Loftus Road, but manager Mark Warburton admitted that deal was not likely due to financial reasons.
Forest have been keen to strengthen their forward options during this month’s transfer window, and have added Adama Diakhaby (loan) and Nuno da Costa to their ranks.
Striker Tyler Walker, who is on loan at Lincoln City, has been linked with a return to the City Ground, with the Reds having the option of recalling the player before Friday’s deadline.
