Nottingham Forest to launch fresh bid for Premier League midfielder - report

Nottingham Forest are reportedly set to launch a fresh bid to sign Sheffield United midfielder Luke Freeman.

were linked with a loan move for the 27-year-old earlier this month, with Championship promotion rivals Leeds United also said to be keen.

The Sun reports that up to now, the Blades have not been willing to let Freeman leave this month - but that have not yet given up hope of securing the player's services.

It is suggested that the Premier League side could change their mind, especially if they manage to bring in another player themselves before the January transfer window closes on Friday.

Freeman has made 13 appearances since joining the Blades from Queens Park Rangers last summer, though only three league starts.

He played 90 minutes as Chris Wilder's men beat Millwall 2-0 in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
