Nottingham Forest to honour Junior Agogo during game against Derby County

Nottingham Forest fans are being urged to help pay tribute to former striker Junior Agogo.

The Ghanaian passed away aged just 40 last week. He suffered a stroke back in 2015 which left him debilitated just two years after retiring from playing.

Forest have announced there will be a minute's applause in the 23rd minute of tonight's game against Derby County at the City Ground in the Carabao Cup.

Agogo wore the number 23 shirt for Forest as he helped them win promotion from League One to the Championship.

He was a star of the national team and the poster boy of the 2008 African Cup of Nations hosted in Ghana.

Agogo scored 12 goals goals in 27 caps during the height of his career between 2006 and 2009.

He enjoyed the best spell of his club career with Forest between 2006 and 2008, scoring over 20 goals for the club.
