Nottingham Forest to battle Celtic for Championship forward - reports

With transfer deadline day edging closer and closer, the gossip surrounding Nottingham Forest continues to intensify.

The latest rumour linking the Reds with a potential new recruit comes from Scotland, which claims Forest are monitoring Hull City forward Kamil Grosicki.

According to the Scottish Daily Mail, Sabri Lamouchi’s side are keeping tabs on the Poland international’s situation at the KCOM Stadium ahead of Friday’s deadline.

The report also claims that Scottish premiership giants Celtic are interested in signing the 31-year-old this month.

Grosicki’s contract with the Tigers expires at the end of the season, although it is believed Hull have an option to extend his deal by a further 12 months.

This is not the first time that Forest have been linked with the Hull forward, with the Reds credited with an interest in the player during Martin O’Neill’s tenure in charge, as well as during last summer shortly after Lamouchi’s arrival.

Forest continue to be linked with a host of forward players ahead of deadline day, with Lamouchi keen to strengthen his attacking options.

The Reds have already signed Adama Diakhaby on loan from Huddersfield Town, but there could be more new faces moving to the City Ground.
