Nottingham Forest youngster Brennan Johnson has been called up to the senior Wales squad for their upcoming internationals.
The 19-year-old had been due to link up with the national Under-21s side, but will now make the step up to be part of Ryan Giggs’ set-up for the first time.
Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey, Bournemouth winger David Brooks, Leeds United forward Tyler Roberts and Bristol City defender Ashley Williams have all withdrawn from the senior squad, with Johnson and Liverpool’s Ben Woodburn drafted in from the Under-21s as replacements.

Forest tweeted: “Congratulations Brennan from everyone at #NFFC. A well-deserved reward for your hard work and commitment!”
And Reds academy manager Gary Brazil said: “Fantastic experience for a young player with great potential. Brennan has a big career ahead of him.”
Wales face Finland away on September 3 and host Bulgaria three days later in a Nations League double-header.
Johnson will miss the opening game of the season for Forest, with Sabri Lamouchi’s men making the trip to Barnsley on Saturday in the Carabao Cup.
The midfielder was handed his Reds debut by Lamouchi last term, when he came off the bench in an opening day defeat to West Bromwich Albion.
He went on to make eight appearances in total in 2019/20, including two after the Championship’s restart in June.
After handing Johnson his first start, against Derby County in the League Cup last August, Lamouchi said: “He is under 18 and is just an unbelievable player with the right mentality.
“I said to him, like I say to all the players, ‘I don’t care about the age or the name’."
