Nottingham Forest team news v Hull City: Sabri Lamouchi names his starting XI

Sabri Lamouchi’s Nottingham Forest can return to the Championship’s top two this evening, if they can record a 12th home win of 2019 against Hull City.

The Reds will be desperate to bounce back after suffering a 1-0 defeat away to Wigan Athletic on Sunday, and Lamouchi made four changes to the side which were beaten in Lancashire as he looks to record a third straight win in front of the home supporters.

Lewis Grabban was rested at the DW Stadium, with Rafa Mir being handed a first league start and the Reds’ leading marksman is back in from the start and Mir takes the 31-year-old's place on the bench.

Portuguese duo Tiago Silva and Joao Carvalho were both drafted back into the side, along with defender Chema Rodriguez, meaning Yuri Ribeiro and Tobias Figueiredo both dropped to the bench - it was Carvalho's 50th appearance since his club-record move from Benfica last summer.

Having made his first league start at Wigan, there was no place in the matchday squad for John Bostock, as Brennan Johnson came into the squad to join Ryan Yates, Aro Muric and Albert Adomah on the bench.

Elsewhere, September’s Player of the Month Brice Samba kept his place in goal, playing behind Jack Robinson, Joe Worrall, Chema and Matty Cash.

Ben Watson once again was handed the captain’s armband, slotting in alongside Silva – while Sammy Ameobi, Carvalho and Joe Lolley were deployed in support of Grabban.

Hull, looking to record a sixth win in seven at the City Ground named Eric Lichaj as their captain, while former target Kamil Grosicki also started.
