Nottingham Forest received a double injury boost going into their clash with Brentford, as boss Chris Hughton made four changes to his starting XI.
One of those included a return for goalkeeper Brice Samba, who had missed the midweek 2-0 defeat at home to Norwich City with a slight hamstring problem.
The shot-stopper was back in the side to face the Bees, however, with Jordan Smith back to being on the bench as back-up stopper.
Anthony Knockaert had also been absent against the Canaries, but was named among the substitutes as the Reds looked to end a five-match winless run.
There was a rare start for teenager Alex Mighten, while Gaetan Bong and Filip Krovinovic also came back into the team as Ryan Yates and Luke Freeman dropped to the bench, while Tyler Blackett was not included in the matchday squad.
It meant Forest would line up with a back four of Cyrus Christie, Tobias Figueiredo, Scott McKenna and Bong all ahead of Samba.
With Yates missing out, Cafu would revert to a holding midfield role alongside Manchester United loanee James Garner.
That would see Krovinovic take up the number 10 position, with Mighten and Sammy Ameobi set to complete the attacking trio in support of lone striker, and captain, Lewis Grabban.
Alongside Smith, Freeman, Yates and Knockaert, Yuri Ribeiro, Loic Mbe Soh, Jack Colback, Glenn Murray and Lyle Taylor were named as substitutes by Hughton.
Forest: Samba, Christie, Figueiredo, McKenna, Bong, Cafu, Garner, Mighten, Krovinovic, Ameobi, Grabban. Subs: Smith, Ribeiro, Mbe Soh, Colback, Freeman, Yates, Murray, Knockaert, Taylor.
