Transfer talk
Nottingham Forest are in “pole position” to sign Southampton striker Che Adams in January - but Championship rivals Leeds United are now said to have registered their interest.
The Reds had reportedly already made an offer to take Adams on loan next month, as boss Sabri Lamouchi looks to boost his attacking options.
Leeds were then linked with the 23-year-old, and Football Insider claim the Whites have taken things a step further by “registering their interest” after manager Marcelo Bielsa gave “the green light to pursue Adams”.
The report says: “ Nottingham Forest are currently in pole position to take Adams on loan if Southampton give the go-ahead for their £15m summer signing to depart next month.”

On the move?
Reported Nottingham Forest transfer target Jack Clarke has played his last game for Leeds United, according to one former player.
The Reds are one of a number of clubs credited with an interest in the 19-year-old who is currently spending the season on loan at Elland Road from Tottenham Hotspur.
Championship duo Fulham and Brentford are the latest clubs linked with a move for Clarke during the January window, with there much talk that the player could have his loan spell at Leeds end in the New Year.
Derby County and Middlesbrough are two of the sides who have also previously been linked with Clarke.
Tigers threat
Joe Lolley admits Nottingham Forest will have to be on their guard against “two of the best wingers in the league” when they face Hull City.
Sabri Lamouchi’s Reds make the trip to the KCOM Stadium on Boxing Day looking to end a five-match winless run.
They take on a Tigers side sitting one place and one point below them in the Championship table, and who have Kamil Grosicki and Jarrod Bowen in fine form.
The latter has plundered 16 goals in 24 appearances in all competitions already this season. And Lolley is well aware of the threat he will pose.

Injury boost
Hull City boss Grant McCann has provided an injury update on his squad ahead of their Boxing Day clash against Nottingham Forest.
The Reds travel to the KCOM Stadium in search of a much needed three points as they look to continue their quest for promotion to the Premier League.
Sabri Lamouchi’s side are now without a win in their last five league matches, a run of form which has seen the Reds fall to 10 place in the Sky Bet Championship table.
Looking ahead to the crucial Boxing Day clash on Humberside, Tigers boss McCann says striker Josh Magennis has a “50-50” chance of being fit to face Forest.
