Nottingham Forest target 'strongly considering' January move as interest grows

Nottingham Forest target Kamil Grosicki is said to be “strongly considering” a return to Poland this month.

A loan move for the West Bromwich Albion winger to the Reds in the summer transfer window fell through, amid a dispute about paperwork being submitted in time.

Boss Chris Hughton has retained an interest in Grosicki, while Championship rivals Middlesbrough have also been linked.

But Polish media outlet Niezalezna report a move to Legia Warsaw could be a possibility for the Baggies man.

They claim “the chances are increasing that Kamil Grosicki will strengthen” the team, after the 32-year-old was given the green light by the Baggies to head elsewhere.

The Poland international has featured just twice for Albion this season - once in the Carabao Cup and once in the Premier League.

And his situation does not appear to have altered with a change in manager, with Sam Allardyce having replaced Slaven Bilic last month.

The player is said to be keen on securing regular game time to give him the best possible chance of clinching his spot at this year’s European Championships with his country.

Niezalenza add: “Coach Czesław Michniewicz would like to see the 32-year-old Polish representative in the ranks of Legia Warsaw. This transfer would be perfect for both parties.”

However, the report does state Grosicki’s salary “would be a problem” for Warsaw.
