Nottingham Forest target discusses dream move as Leeds United face losing star - Championship transfer rumours

It feels like the season has only just began, but the January transfer window is not that far away.

Scouts have already started to identify their winter targets and clubs will already be keen to determine their strategies for the busy month.

So what is the latest transfer news in the world of Nottingham Forest? We take a glance at the latest transfer chat as well as a look around the rest of the division.

Wanted defender on 'dream' move

Rumoured Nottingham Forest target Sam McCallum admits that a move to the Premier League would be a dream come true, but is determined to focus on life at Coventry City.

The teenage full-back was in action for the Sky Blues live on Sky Sports on Sunday as Mark Robins' side slumped to a second defeat on the bounce.

But his young defender has impressed in recent weeks and has found himself linked with Aston Villa, West Brom, Leeds United and the Reds.

However, he has refused to be lured into commenting on transfer speculation.

“Playing in the Premier League is obviously still a dream,” he told Kent Online.

“If I went all the way it’d be so b“But at the moment I’m focusing on trying to get the starting position at Coventry and then see where it goes from there.

“I’m definitely living the dream.”

Solskjaer keen on Forest's stratergy

Manchester United want to sign up to the same player recruitment database Nottingham Forest are currently using, according to reports.

The Daily Mail say the  Reds  have signed up to a company called Driblab.

Based in Madrid, they have built a database of more than 100,000 players with many 12 La Liga clubs already signed up.

And Forest reportedly used their vast knowledge to identify some of the 13 players they signed in the summer.

Scott McKenna opens up

Nottingham Forest summer transfer target Scott McKenna has opened up about being at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war.

The Aberdeen defender was wanted by Forest and Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers, both sides submitting £3 million bids to Derek McInnes' side.

McKenna told the  Daily Record: "The first year, I took all of the speculation in my stride.

“I was a young player who’d just broken into the team.

“You can’t really believe it’s happening and you don’t have time to think about things.

“But last summer was the first time where I felt a real frustration. My head was all over the place.

Newcastle handed Jarrod Bowen boost

Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen would be open to a move to join Newcastle, according to The Boot Room.

The prolific Championship wide man has been linked with a number of clubs over the past year, including Nottingham Forest, as his goal tally continues to rise.

The youngster is out of contract in the summer, but Hull are keen to extend that deal by another year in the fear of losing their man to a Premier League club, like Newcastle, for free.

Eddie Nketiah 'could quit Leeds'

Leeds United will face a battle to keep hold of Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah, according to the Daily Star.

Championship rivals Bristol City are keen on snapping up the youngster and are prepared to offer him more game time in the second tier.

Marcelo Bielsa is yet to hand a league start to his popular forward who has impressed on a number of occasions from the bench.
