Nottingham Forest supporters pay their respects after staff member passes away

Nottingham Forest supporters and personnel have paid tribute to long-serving matchday staff member Kevin Rowson, who has sadly passed away following infection with the coronavirus.

Rowson - known as Bamma - had been a part of Forest's matchday security team for the past decade,

Forest tweeted: “#NFFC are devastated to confirm that Kevin Rowson, part of the matchday security team for the past 10 years, has sadly passed away after a battle with coronavirus.

There have been plenty of tributes.

Former BBC Radio Nottingham sports presenter Robin Chipperfield tweeted "Oh what horrendous news. What a lovely guy he was." while Reds club photographer Ritchie Sumpter added "Absolutely gutted. Nicest bloke you’ll ever meet and always had time to say hello with a smile. RIP Big Kev."

Reds fans chipped in as well - with marks of respect and memories.

Cameron: RIP Bamma. Thoughts with his family and friends.

Eve: Rest in peace Kev.

Helen: Rest Easy Fella .... Condolences to the family.

Rich: RIP Bamma, true gent!

Thomas: RIP Kev. Stood in front of us in between the dugouts, thoughts are with his family.

Mark: A lovely, friendly man. So tragic.

Michaela: Great bloke always so nice he will be missed.

Sheldon: Such sad news, RIP Garibaldi Brother.

Catherine: Such sad news love to Kevs family, friends and all the Forest family.

Ross: Talked to him a fair amount and worked with him when I was a steward at the City Ground. Always a friendly guy and a pleasure to be around.
