Nottingham Forest striker deal to be settled in 'hours' - report

Nottingham Forest could be set to complete a striker deal in the next few hours according to a report.

RC Strasbourg striker Nuno Da Costa has been linked with a move to the City Ground, and that could be set to go ahead.

"Transfer to Nottingham Forest - striker Nuno Da Costa from Strasbourg should be settled in the coming hours." said Goal France journalist Benjamin Quarez on his Twitter feed.

The Cape Verdean striker would bolster Nottingham Forest's strike-force, and will help ease the burden on Lewis Grabban.

French newspaper L’Alsace stated a few days ago that a deal was “almost done” for the forward.

They claim an improved offer from the Reds seems to have secured the services of the 28-year-old.

Forest initially made a 1.5m euros bid which was rejected, only to increase that to 1.8m euros.

They state the Championship side “made an extra effort” and the French club “should receive 2m euros and bonuses” for the player.

Forest were linked to Jean-Kevin Augustin and Nahki Wells. While the latter has been recalled by Burnley ahead of a potential sale, Forest missed out on Augustin who has just completed a loan move to Leeds United.

If reports are true, that won't matter. They seem to have found their man.
