Transfer update
Nottingham Forest still hope to complete the signing of Barcelona midfielder Marcus McGuane.
But this is one deal where patience continues to be required.
The Reds have been working on a move for the 21-year-old for almost a month, with a view to him initially linking up with Chris Cohen’s Under-23s squad.
The switch has proved to be a complicated one, with McGuane having been on loan at Dutch side Telstar, who, it was claimed, wanted a “decent fee” from the Championship outfit if his spell was to be ended early.

Promotion push
Midfielder Ben Watson believes Nottingham Forest’s strong team spirit can help give them the edge in the Championship promotion race.
With 13 games to go, the Reds sit fifth in the table, four points adrift of second-placed Leeds United and eight behind leaders West Bromwich Albion, who they held to a 2-2 draw at the weekend.
And while Watson admits some of their rivals have spent more money or perhaps have stronger squads on paper, he believes Sabri Lamouchi’s men have a far more valuable commodity.
“The gaffer and staff have built a fantastic dressing room,” said the 34-year-old.
Boss' impact
Nottingham Forest forward Joe Lolley has opened up on the impact manager Sabri Lamouchi has had on himself and the club.
Lamouchi replaced Martin O’Neill last summer in the City Ground dugout, and is enjoying a successful season as Reds boss.
Forest are fighting at the top end of the Sky Bet Championship table, and striving to achieve promotion to the Premier League.
The Frenchman has won 17 of his 37 matches in charge in all competitions so far this season, and has guided the club to fifth place in the Championship standings with 13 games left to play.
Ex-Red honoured
Former Nottingham Forest striker Justin Fashanu is to be posthumously inducted into the National Football Museum’s Hall of Fame.
The honour comes 22 years after he took his own life, in 1998, with Sky Sports reporting he will be recognised at a ceremony at the museum in central Manchester on Wednesday.
Fashanu was the first black footballer to command a £1m transfer fee when he moved from Norwich City to the Reds in 1981.
He stayed little more than a year at the City Ground before going on to join Notts County.
