Nottingham Forest remain hopeful of striking a deal for Barcelona youngster Marcus McGuane.
It is understood the Reds are still awaiting clearance for the move to go through and that it might not be confirmed officially tonight.
McGuane is still on track for a return to England two years after leaving Arsenal for the Catalan giants.
McGuane, a product of Arsenal's academy, joined Barca two years ago and joined up with their reserves.
He made his debut in the senior setup in March that year but hasn't featured for the first team since, spending time with the B team and Dutch side SC Telstar, whom he spent the first half of this season on loan.
McGuane has appeared 14 times in the Dutch second tier this season, scoring once and setting up three goals.
Forest have also signed Adama Diakhaby (Huddersfield Town), Nuno da Costa (Strasbourg) and Gaetan Bong (Brighton and Hove Albion) on loan this month.
Tyler Walker has also returned from his loan spell at Lincoln City.
