Nottingham Forest starlet reflects on loan stint after transfer decision

Non-league club Truro City have confirmed that striker Will Swan has returned to parent-club Nottingham Forest following a loan spell.

Truro confirmed on Friday that Swan had returned to the City Ground, after scoring nine goals in nine matches for the Southern League Premier Division South club

The 19-year-old initially signed a one-month loan deal in January, but that was extended at the start of February.

The teenager is held in high regard within the Nigel Doughty Academy, and could be one to look out for at the City Ground in the future.

Swan said he learned a lot during his time with Truro, and feels he is happy with how the stint went.

"I've really enjoyed being here" Swan told the club’s website.

He added: "Its been a great learning opportunity and I've just tried to make the most of every game I've played in and help the team win."

"The Southern League has been very competitive. It's not an easy level to just walk into but I'm happy with how I've done and I think I've adjusted well to it."

Soon after Swan’s departure from Treyew Road, young Reds goalkeeper George Shelvey signed a one-month loan deal with the non-league outfit.
