Striker Lyle Taylor admits actions will speak louder than words, when it comes to Nottingham Forest’s bid to climb the table.
The Reds went into the international break on the back of successive home wins, but still languish in 20th spot.
A poor start to the campaign under previous manager Sabri Lamouchi, which saw them fall to four straight league defeats, has left them playing catch-up.
And while there have been signs of improvement under Chris Hughton - with the aim still to push for promotion - Taylor accepts Forest still have to prove themselves on the pitch.
Transfer talk
With the January transfer window not too far away, Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton has already acknowledged his intention to make a few “tweaks” to his squad.
Fourteen new signings came through the City Ground doors in the summer, but only Anthony Knockaert arrived after Hughton replaced Sabri Lamouchi at the helm.
And with the Reds still languishing in 20th place, the new boss will be analysing where his squad needs improving in order to challenge at the other end of the Championship table.
One of the big questions is, will Kamil Grosicki once again be in the mix?
An attempt to sign the West Bromwich Albion winger in the last window didn’t come off, so will the club try again?
We’ve had a look at this particular transfer link.
Tough competition
Chris Hughton has been in charge at Nottingham Forest for little more than a month, making a solid start to life at the City Ground.
The Reds boss has tried various formations and combinations in his seven games at the helm, in a bid to find the best system.
He’s had to contend with a few injury issues which have ruled players out. But when everyone is fit, what is Forest’s best starting XI?
Here’s our take.
