Nottingham Forest star opens up on what he misses most during coronavirus suspension

Nottingham Forest defender Yuri Ribeiro has spoken about how he is finding it tough without any football.

The season is currently suspended due to the coronavirus crisis, with play not scheduled to resume until April 30 at the earliest.

It is likely that date will be pushed back further, while the lockdown on these shores means players are having to keep fit at home.

The Reds last played on March 6, when they lost 3-0 at home to Millwall, and sit fifth in the Championship table.

Portuguese left-back Ribeiro says he is missing playing in front of the Forest fans and hopes it will soon be possible to once again link up with the rest of Sabri Lamouchi’s squad.

He tweeted: “Missing training with my teammates, the games during the week and the weekend, the dressing room, the atmosphere of our fans in all stadiums, the City Ground, will have it all back soon.  Keep safe and think not only on yourself but about others. Let’s save lives!”

Lamouchi’s men have nine games left to play, though there is uncertainty about how the rest of the campaign will be played out, with reports suggesting matches could be held behind closed doors.
