Swans unlikely to land Man City starlet as Gyokeres decision looms
Swansea City now appear unlikely to land Man City defender Joel Latibeaudiere.
The Swans had been in talks with the Premier League giants but it appears a deal will now not be possible.
The 20-year-old centre-back was part of the England side that won the Under-17s World Cup under Steve Cooper in India three years ago.
Brighton striker Viktor Gyokeres remains a target and is expected to be involved against Manchester United tonight, which will give Graham Potter once last chance to see him in the cup before deadline day. Potter is weighing up whether to let him leave on loan or not.
Owls complete Paterson move
Sheffield Wednesday have signed Cardiff City attacker Callum Paterson for an undisclosed fee, the club has confirmed.
The 25-year-old moved to the Bluebirds back in 2017 from Hearts, and admitted he was “gutted” to be moving from the Welsh capital.
Paterson said on Instagram: “Absolutely gutted my time at Cardiff City FC is over. Very disappointed that I wasn’t needed anymore and now it’s time to move on.
“Massive thank you to the fans who welcomed me into the club from day one. You guys made it special for me.”

QPR set to move for Forest winger as Bluebirds interested
QPR are set to make an offer for Nottingham Forest winger Albert Adomah, according to a report on TEAMtalk, but Cardiff City are also said to be interested.
The 32-year-old grew up as a QPR supporter, and he could get his dream move if the clubs can agree on a deal.
However, Cardiff, who had the winger on loan last season, are also said to be trying to lure him back to South Wales.
The Bluebirds and Forest clashed during the summer when Forest insisted on recalling him from his loan spell as Cardiff battled to get into the play-offs.
Adomah was a regular under Neil Harris, who is known to be an admirer.
Forest are willing to offload Adomah, as the experienced forward enters the final year of his contract at the City Ground.
Sheffield United in talks to sign Kongolo
Premier League side Sheffield United are in talks to sign Huddersfield Town defender Terence Kongolo, according to Yorkshire Live.
The Blades have made contact with the Terriers over a move for the 26-year-old defender, the report claims.
With Jack O’Connell being ruled out for the season through injury, Chris Wilder has had to act fast in order to add depth to his defensive options.
Huddersfield are keen to offload Kongolo, with the Yorkshire side wanting to free up some funds from their wage bill.
Watford join race for Barrecca
Watford have entered the race to sign Monaco’s Antonio Barrecca, according to Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb.
The Hornets will not be alone in their pursuit of Barrecca, though, with a host of Italian clubs also interested in the former Newcastle United loanee.
The 25-year-old full-back spent last season on loan at Genoa in the Serie A and made 18 appearances for the Italian team.
Barrecca has been at Monaco since moving from Torino back in 2018, but has failed to make an impression at the Ligue 1 club.
