With football currently halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, Nottingham Forest have come up with a fresh strategy of boosting the mood among supporters.
The Reds’ season has been postponed amid the COVID-19 outbreak, with football not due to resume until April 30, at the earliest, although, the chances of elite football returning next month is very slim.
Prior to the suspension, Forest were challenging for promotion to the Premier League, occupying fifth place in the Sky Bet Championship table with nine league matches left to play.
There are fears that the suspension could be extended, throwing the potential of the season being cancelled into focus. Last week, all non-league football below the National League South/North was ended, with all results expunged and promotions cancelled.
With no end to the suspension in sight, Forest have released a video featuring club-record signing Joao Carvalho, encouraging supporters to follow the ‘Stay at Home’ campaign.
The three-minute video shows Carvalho taking part in a workout session in his home, where he does a number of different exercises.
Carvalho takes part in a routine featuring leg lunges, squats, step-ups, the plank, and more, accompanied by his pet Pug, Tommy.
