Nottingham Forest set to make 'improved' bid for Scotland international Scott McKenna

Nottingham Forest are set to make an "improved" bid for Scotland international Scott McKenna, according to the Daily Record.

The Reds are said to have already seen an offer of £3m rejected for the 22-year-old Aberdeen defender, who is under contract at Pittodrie until 2023.

But the Daily Record claim they will test the Scottish Premiership club's resolve by tabling an increased offer.

McKenna, who has played over 60 matches in the Scottish top flight for Aberdeen and enjoyed loans at Ayr and Alloa, is also said to be attracting the interest of QPR, who are managed by former Forest manager Mark Warburton.

Aberdeen have reportedly rejected previous bids for the youngster from Aston Villa and Celtic, with Villa said to have offered £6.5m and Celtic £3.5m.
