Nottingham Forest set to announce six new members of staff to support Sabri Lamouchi

Nottingham Forest look to have cleared the decks after the appointment of Sabri Lamouchi.

The club have announced that Lamouchi will bring six new members of staff in with him to support the new boss, who was appointed within minutes of the news Martin O'Neill had been fired.

Forest have not confirmed who has left with O'Neill, although assistant manager Roy Keane resigned on Sunday.

O'Neill's other staff members included coaches Simon Ireland and Steve Guppy, as well as goalkeeping Seamus McDonagh.

The club website already lists Lamouchi as head coach, while Guppy and Ireland remain on the staff list along with heading of scouting Tommy Johnson, a man appointed by O'Neill.

Most recently, Lamouchi was in charge of French club Rennes. Lamouchi, who won 12 caps for France, took Rennes to fifth in Ligue 1 after joining the club in November 2017.

However, he was sacked 13 months later and has since been linked with Nantes and Dijon in his homeland. He becomes Forest's second French manager after Philippe Montanier, another former Rennes boss.
