On-loan Nottingham Forest midfielder Brennan Johnson produced another masterclass midfield display for Lincoln City as they comfortably overcame Gillingham at Priestfield.
The Imps ran out 3-0 winners against Steve Evans' side with Johnson winning a second-half penalty that was converted by ex-Forest midfielder Jorge Grant.
Johnson also hit the bar in the victory as he continued to show deft touches of class as Michael Appleton's cemented their position at the top of the League One table.
Forest sent Johnson to Sincil Bank to get valuable game time under his belt and he has responded with a string of impressive displays which have impressed both Imps and Reds fans.
And after his latest performance, Forest supporters had plenty to say on the midfielder's future and what the Reds should do with him next season.
We took to Twitter to see what they had to say.
DGB: "Tonight Brennan Johnson has got an assist, hit the bar and won a pen (probs dubious). He just constantly gets involved at key time. HAS to be involved next season."
Claire: "Forest better not even think about selling Brennan Johnson. Let him grow with us I beg! He’s some player. Don’t get too comfy Lincoln."
Kane: "Watching the Lincoln game now Brennan Johnson is actually incredible excited to see him get an opportunity back at NFFC."
Gaz Lavaine: "Can someone please tell me why Brennan Johnson is not with the forest first team? Ridiculous that he’s out on loan when really he’s better than what’s in the side let alone the squad?"
City Ground Shelf: "Been watching Gillingham - Lincoln for five minutes. So far Brennan Johnson has hit the bar and won his team a penalty. He needs to be integrated in to the first team in the summer."
There was talk of Forest recalling Johnson from his loan spell in January, but Forest decided against taking that option to allow him develop under Appleton's tutelage.
He has already reportedly caught the eye of numerous clubs and during the January window Burnley, Leeds United and Brentford were are all casting admiring glances, according to The Athletic.
They also reported that Belgium outfit Royale Union Saint-Gilloise were “pondering a bid”.
