Nottingham Forest sent play-off warning ahead of crunch clash with Swansea City

Nottingham Forest have been warned not to lose sight of the task in hand as they bid to secure a play-off place.

The Reds go into tomorrow’s clash with fellow challengers Swansea City sitting in fifth spot in the table.

With three games to go, they have a six-point cushion over the seventh-placed Swans as they look to give themselves a chance of promotion to the Premier League.

It sets the scene for what could be a crunch match at the City Ground, with Sabri Lamouchi’s side looking to get back to winning ways after three games without a victory.

Former Red David Prutton has predicted them to do just that in the midweek tie, forecasting a 2-1 triumph for the hosts in his column for Sky Sports.

But he has urged his old club not to allow complacency to creep in, stressing the job is not yet done ahead of Wednesday night’s fixture.

Nottingham Forest will have turned half an eye to the play-offs already,” he said.

“But (they) need to make sure they don't fall asleep completely as the job isn't quite done yet.

“Swansea could move to within three points of Forest with a win, but they will still be gutted with losing so late against Leeds on Sunday. I fancy a home win here.”

Lamouchi’s men drew 1-1 at Preston North End last time out, while their opponents were beaten 1-0 by table-topping Leeds United.
