Nottingham Forest send emotional message to key workers amid coronavirus pandemic

Nottingham Forest have sent a message to key workers, thanking them for their efforts during the coronavirus outbreak.

The Reds’ season is still suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with no clear sign of when, or indeed if, the campaign will resume.

Prior to the suspension, Forest occupied fifth place in the Sky Bet Championship table, with nine league fixtures left to play as they strive to secure promotion to the Premier League.

As of Tuesday night, almost 100,000 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the UK, with hopes that the peak of the outbreak is now approaching.

Forest have sent a message to all of the key workers in the country, as they continue to play their part during the pandemic.

“Everyone at Nottingham Forest would like to say a massive thank you to all of the key workers who continue to provide key services throughout the coronavirus pandemic,” the message read.

“From NHS workers, to delivery drivers, teachers and refuse workers, you are all amazing and we are extremely grateful for the fantastic work you do.

“If you want to give a key worker a shoutout to thank them for their efforts, email keyworkers@nottinghamforest.co.uk for a chance to be featured on the website and on our social media accounts.”
