Nottingham Forest sell out yet another away game after impressive start

Nottingham Forest are preparing to take a large number of supporters to the DW Stadium when they take on Wigan Athletic in just under two weeks time.

The Reds are set to take thousands of supporters to Greater Manchester for the Championship clash.

The club have confirmed the initial allocation of 2,000 has already sold out and that they have been granted a further allocation of 1,000.

Should Forest sell out that second allocation, they could take up to 3,000 to the DW Stadium, which could well make up around one quarter of the attendance for the game.

Wigan average just over 11,000 for each game this season, and around 3,000 could be Reds fans should the extra tickets sell out.

Sabri Lamouchi's men - who have made an excellent start to the season, sitting second in the table and level on points with leaders West Bromwich Albion - take on Wigan on Saturday October 20, their first game back after the international break.

Forest go into the game in fine form, now 10 league games unbeaten and having won four of their last five, drawing the other.

Wigan, meanwhile, are in 19th place having only amassed 11 points from as many games.

The extra allocation is now on sale to Forest fans.
